James Platt Appointed Chief Operating Officer for Aon plc

Aon plc has promoted James Platt to Chief Operating Officer, commencing once the combination of Aon and Willis Towers Watson is complete, pending Board approval. James has served Aon in multiple leadership positions, currently as Business Chief Operating Officer. He has previously held such roles as Global Solution Lines Chief Operating Officer, Chief Operating Officer of Aon Risk Solutions, and Chief Executive Officer of Aon Inpoint. Prior to joining Aon, James earned his way up to Partner and Managing Director with Boston Consulting Group. Earlier in his career, he served as a Captain in the British Army.
