Adam El-Balawi is a Partner with Kingsley Gate, specializing in the global financial services industry across the Middle East. Adam has more than two decades of experience placing senior-level finance executives across multiple asset classes with corporate & investment banks and family offices. He partners closely with his clients to identify, recruit and retain key talent sourced locally in the Middle East and across the broader global geographies. Having been based in the United Arab Emirates since 2007, Adam has built an extensive network of senior contacts across the GCC and beyond.

Prior to joining Kingsley Gate, Adam was responsible for leading origination and execution for senior-level searches across Corporate and Investment Banking at Sheffield Haworth, based in Dubai.

Adam started his search career in London. In 2007 he moved to the United Arab Emirates to launch operations for Principal Search, a UK-based search boutique operating across a number of verticals within financial markets.

Adam is based in our Dubai location.

A decision that had a huge impact on your life

Moving to another country for my job was a big decision, but it was also necessary for my career growth. I had been working in my field for several years in London and it felt like I had hit a ceiling in terms of opportunities for advancement. After much research and consideration, I decided to accept a job offer in Dubai. This decision had a huge impact on my life as I had to leave behind my family and friends and adjust to a new way of life. The move was challenging, but it was also incredibly rewarding. I was able to work on some exciting projects and build a network of contacts in my industry that I never would have had the opportunity to meet otherwise. The whole experience was enriching. Moving to Dubai had a huge impact on my career growth and opened up new doors for me professionally. It was a decision that was ultimately worth it for the opportunities it provided.
